If you are a hopeless pessimist, there is something you can do. Try to write down everything good that happens, no matter how small it is. This way, you will be able to focus on the positive, which is exactly what happy people do, however, they don't need a piece of paper to remind them.

You also need to remember that you don't need to be the most successful person in the world. If this is your goal, you are probably bound to fail. One of the happiest people in the world are Mexicans. And do you know why? Because they do not care about money, social classes, and they do not judge their success on the basis of someone else's.

Finally, learn how to forgive. Not because you will become a better person, but because letting go of anger is an important step to happiness. If you are bitter and keep thinking that life is unfair, there is no chance that you can ever be happy. Instead of dwelling on your negative experiences with other people, focus on finding new friends and meeting new people that might be worthy of your time and your affection.

Happiness is not something that needs to be found. It is already there, you just have to pay attention to it. Happiness is not an isolated feeling. It is actually a bundle of all kinds of emotions that make you smile. Thus, pay attention to everything that goes on in your life and think about the good things only.
